"I am grateful for dreams. Without those invasions of deep sleep, I would have no fodder for my stories. Even the weirdest of nightmares can fuel a scene."
It's true. Dreams are a big part of my writing process. And the notes I take about my unconscious fantasies become stories. Thankfully, I am obsessively organized–mostly– so I can find my idea notebooks and frantically write down the dreams in the morning. Another fun fact about me: I am allergic to cats, but that hasn't stopped me from living with three cats.

Okay. For the serious bits. I studied Publication Writing and Design at Graceland University in Iowa. Small town and not related to Elvis. In the following year, I lived in Florida for my Disney College Program. It was a phenomenal experience that inspired my first published book, Living in Fantasyland. A few months in New York City for NYU's Summer Publishing Program encouraged me to forget about working as a little-guy in the publishing industry and tackle writing my own stories. And thusly, I write in my spare time.
